UNDERSTANDING PROBIOTICS & HOW THEY WORK

In order to understand the effectiveness of probiotics, we need to understand what conventional products do to our skins microbiome on a microscopic level. Most conventional skincare products are designed to eliminate dirt, oil, odour and bacteria. But in doing so, they often go too far.

Many contain harsh surfactants, alcohols and preservatives that don’t just clean - they strip the skin of its natural oils and disturb its delicate microbiome.

This shows us that, the use of conventional skincare products leads to the killing of both good and bad bacteria. This hinders the good bacteria’s protective abilities and allows resistant bad bacteria to flourish, which disrupts the skins natural barrier, leading to dryness, irritation and flare-ups.

The use of Probacare Probiotics allows for all the empty cells to be filled and competitive exclusion take places. The good bacteria flourishes and the result is a healthier skin. The good bacteria simply outcompetes harmful bacteria.
